In the past 2007 Shanghai International Automobile and Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, Haima Automobile's electric concept vehicle attracted many audience's' attention. This car is the first research product of the program "Research & Development and Industrialization of Electric Passenger Vehicle" since Haima R&D is in charge of the State "863 Plan".

"Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle" program is an important item in modern traffic technology field of the "State High Technology Research and Development Plan (short as "863" plan) " during the "15th Development Plan". Haima Automobile's program "Research & Development and Industrialization of Electric Passenger Vehicle" successfully passed through the appraisement of the Science and Technology Department in the middle of last November and was settled down.

The concept vehicle, named as H12, is equipped with high-efficiency electric driving system supported by high-power and high-octane lithium-polymer battery packs, supplied by Three Phase AC Induction Motor. Keeping abreast with the tendency of Vehicle Energy Technology advancement, it is an energy-saving and environmental protection vehicle. The operation cost of H12 is quite low. For example, the fuel consumption is only one fifth of the vehicle in equivalent class, and the recharge period only lasts six to eight hours, with connection to 220V power supply.

Environmental protection and energy conservation are worldwide problems in the 21st Century. Our Government sets building economic society as the basic national policy, encouraging the development of small displacement and energy-saving vehicle. Electric vehicle is one of the main methods to realize the target. Though the study and development of electric vehicle in other countries has a history of over 100 years and many enterprises, universities and research institutes in our country have already been studying and researching, the large scale industrialized electric vehicle products are not seen in the market. Therefore, on the basis of absorbing the experiences before, it is Haima's mission to make out the conveniently driving and inexpensive using electric vehicle for people.
